Unethical Practices in Marketing?
In the
view of this organization(Patanjali), and many others who have added their
voice to this discussion, unethical addiction treatment marketing practices are
those that may diminish the ability of people in need of treatment, there
family, professional, referents, or others to effectively identify and be
directed to the care best suited to their needs, or in a way misrepresentation,
or, misdirection of addiction-related issues, treatment, practices or
organization.

Patanjali is Ethical or Not?
No
Patanjali is not doing ethical marketing because the company gives
misrepresentation and misleading information about products.
Products
Kesh Kanti
Natural Hair Cleanser and Oil advertisement claim, "mineral oil is
carcinogenic in nature and may cause cancer " this was false and
misleading information not given by Patanjali.
Kachi
Ghani Mustard Oil advertisement claim,
"Hexagon solvent extraction process, as company mix cheap palm oil in
mustard oil, to make profits at the cost of consumer's health.
Apart from
this products Patanjali product Pant Kanti toothpaste they are using dangerous
chemical but they show in the advertisement this product is different from others
because the product is made up of natural products but they are using chemical
products to make the product.
Similarly
its Herbal Washing Powder, Hair oil, Shampoo, Cake, Patanjali Fruit juice,
cattle feed, and many more.
The
Information and Broadcasting Ministry said that complaint against Patanjali as
many as 33 advertisements of Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurveda have been received
during April 2015-July 2016. These complaints were made against the company's
advertisement appearing on TV, print as well as product packaging
communications.
Ministery
of State for Information & Broadcasting, Rajvardhan Rathore said "The
Department of Consumer Affairs has informed that 17 advertisements out of 21
advertisement complained against the violation of the Advertisement Standard
Council of India (ASCI) code for self-regulation of Advertising content as per the finding of
Consumer Complaints Council(CCC) of (ASCI).
This
products are affecting the people's health, causing dangerous diseases like
cancer, heart attack, skin problems, etc.
